A Star Wars Battlefront II multiplayer beta is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in October.

The beta will run from October 4 for those who pre-order the game, and from October 6 for everyone else. It concludes on October 9.

Included are two scenarios: Galactic Assault on Naboo and Multiplayer Starfighter Assault.

The former plonks 40 players into the separatist droid army or the Republic Clones and has them duke it out on the streets of Theed.

There will be four classes to choose from: assault troopers, heavy troopers, officers, and specialists. Of course, there will also be heroes, and also prequel-era vehicles available.

EA gave fewer details about Multiplayer Starfighter Assault, except to say that it is set during the original trilogy era, piloting an assortment of Star Wars’ greatest ships in an objective-based, multi-stage battle.

Further details will come at Gamescom.
